Are you a student at the DeGroote School of Business? Have no idea where to go from here to jumpstart your business career? Want to get involved and learn more but don’t know where to start? Come check out AAC 2011!
The Academic Awareness Conference (AAC) is a day-long event showcasing everything the DeGroote community has to offer! You will have a chance to attend five sessions, each focused ona different stream of business – Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Information Systems. Each session features a guest speaker who is both a DeGroote grad and has a successful career in that particular business stream. You will also learn about the various opportunities you have at your disposal while IN the undergraduate business program to further you in your business career – this includes the clubs and organizations at DeGroote, and the exciting upper year courses that can lead you to professional designations or educate you further in your area of focus.
Tickets are ONLY $5 if you buy early and $10 if you buy during the week of the conference. ANY DEGROOTE STUDENT (INCLUDING UPPER YEARS) CAN BUY A TICKET AND ATTEND! Lunch is included with your ticket, and you will have a chance to interact with the DeGroote clubs, the Centre for Business Career Development (CBCD), as well as faculty members and guest speakers if you want to learn more about what you heard in the sessions!
But wait…we haven’t even told you the best part yet! You will have a chance to win great prizes JUST FOR ATTENDING! Each of the five sessions has a prize draw, and we will be giving away a grand prize (Details TBA) at the end of the day using all the ballots from the previous draws. That means the more sessions you attend, the more chances you will have to win!
Hope to see you all there!
